Cohive Social Marketing App ("Cohive," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your data when you use our services.

 

2. Data We Collect We collect the following types of data:

A. Collected Data (Sent Off the User's Device)

  • Internet Identity (Anonymous Key) – Used for secure user authentication (Stored locally on the user’s device, not shared).

  • Username & Email – Identifies users for app features (Shared with DevRev for user identity creation, stored permanently).

  • YouTube Channel Data (OAuth Permissions) (Optional) – Connects user’s YouTube account for product extraction (Shared with YouTube API via OAuth, stored until session expires).

  • Uploaded YouTube Video Links – Used for AI-driven product extraction (Not shared, stored until user deletes preferences).

  • Extracted Preferences (Brands, Products) – Used to personalize recommendations (Not shared, stored permanently).

  • Followers & Following List – Enables social interactions (Not shared, stored permanently).

  • Product Likes & Comments – Facilitates user engagement & recommendations (Not shared, stored permanently).

  • User Support Tickets (via DevRev) – Tracks user-reported issues (Shared with DevRev, stored permanently).

  • Feature Requests & Roadmap Votes (via DevRev) – Allows users to submit/vote on app features (Shared with DevRev, stored permanently).

  • Push Notification Tokens – Used for Firebase Cloud Messaging (Shared with Firebase, stored until the user disables notifications).

B. Shared Data (Transferred to Third Parties)

  • YouTube OAuth Data – Sent to Google/YouTube API for video extraction.

  • Username & Email – Shared with DevRev AI for user identity and support.

  • Feature Requests & Voting Data – Shared with DevRev AI for feature tracking.

  • User Support Tickets – Shared with DevRev AI to address reported issues.

  • Payment Information – Shared with Stripe for processing transactions.

  • Push Notification Tokens – Shared with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for real-time notifications.

C. Data Processed Ephemerally (Not Retained)

  • Payment Details (Card Info) – Sent to Stripe during transactions, not stored.

  • YouTube Video Transcription – AI transcribes videos for product extraction, stored temporarily and then deleted.

 

3. How We Use Google User Data
If you connect your YouTube account, we access the following Google user data via OAuth:

  • Your YouTube channel details to facilitate product extraction.

  • Uploaded video links to extract product preferences.

This data is used strictly for enhancing user experience and is not shared beyond the stated third-party integrations. We do not sell or disclose this data for advertising purposes.

 

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share user data only as necessary with the following third parties:

  • Google/YouTube API – For retrieving uploaded video data (if authorized by the user).

  • DevRev AI – For managing user support, feature requests, and account identity.

  • Stripe – For secure payment processing.

  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – For delivering push notifications.

We do not sell or rent user data to advertisers or other third parties.

 

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Stored permanently: Username, email, extracted preferences, followers/following list, product interactions, and DevRev-related data.

  • Stored until session expires: YouTube OAuth session data.

  • Stored until user deletion: Uploaded YouTube video links and preferences.

  • Stored until user disables notifications: Push notification tokens.

  • Not stored (processed ephemerally): Payment details and YouTube video transcription.

6. Security & Data Protection Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

  • Encryption for stored and transmitted data.

  • Access controls to limit data access.

  • OAuth authentication to secure third-party data access.

7. User Rights & Control
Users have the right to:

  • Access, modify, or delete their data.

  • Revoke YouTube OAuth permissions at any time.

  • Disable push notifications in settings.
